GUITARIST DAN ZELLAN
PERFORMER
Guitarist, Dan Zellan, has been making music professionally for over twenty years. Dan’s unique ability to authentically play all main styles of music (dance, pop, rock, r&b, hip-hop, country, jazz and classical), made him a special guitarist professional that stood out from the rest. As guitarist, vocalist, and musical director, he has played in high-end, private-event-industry bands all over Manhattan and the U.S.A. playing for numerous TV, Film, Sports Stars and High Profile Political Dignitaries. He also has done numerous T.V. appearances on the most popular morning shows, performed at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, recorded in the smooth jazz and r&b industry and performed with legendary musicians.
Now having moved on from that side of the music industry, he is now pursuing performance in concert and show-like settings with his specialty in solo-acoustic guitar playing. With these advanced guitarist skills, Dan plays his own arrangements of classic and contemporary hit songs, original solo guitar compositions, and music by the great composers of the repertoire.
In addition, Dan Zellan has degrees in Music Performance and Composition, and has done graduate work in Music Education at the prestigious Aron Copland Music School.
SONG-WRITER & PRODUCER
As a composer, producer and song-writer, Dan has written, recorded, mixed, played all instruments, and programmed all drums, on songs with either himself as vocalist or using various vocal artists to fit the song’s needs. Dan’s other passion is in teaching and instructing. “This is one of my true callings”, he says. Dan has been teaching guitar, bass, and voice for over twenty years as well. His mission is “to bring out the true, innate ability for people to make music”. He adds, “…all they need is to WANT to learn how, and I will show them EXACTLY how to do it. It doesn’t matter who you are, we ALL have an ability to express ourselves musically and learn to become music MAKERS”.
